David Boyer - Executive Director, Europe
David brings over twenty-five years’ experience in more than 40 countries working at the nexus of environment, economics and social equity in the areas of natural resource management and sustainable development. He brings a lifelong commitment to insuring conservation benefits the communities who depend on natural resources for their livelihoods. David Boyer has served as Senior Director for the Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan Fund for the Environment. Prior to AKF he worked with Oxfam America to define their new strategic theme in community-based natural resource management and develop program coherence among the other strategic themes of Community Finance and Participation for Equity. Through his 20 year consulting business E3nvironmental Collaborative - “environment, economics and equity” he has conducted program development and evaluations for the Dutch Government, USAID, USEPA, Save the Children UK, Virgin Unite, the Institute for Sustainable Communities, Common Ground, The Regional Community Forestry Training Center of Asia and the Pacific and the International Institute for Sustainable Development, among others. Since 2000, David is a Professor at Brandeis University, Heller School Master’s Program in Sustainable International Development. David holds a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Natural Resource Management and Administration and education in taking organizations to the next level financially and strategically from the Scaling-Up Institute, Community Economic Development Master’s Program.
