On My Bucket List – “#1 – Write a top 10 radio hit, #2 – Open a show for one of our idols, #3 – Have a crew of roadies.”

Fun Fact:  “I write a lot of songs about low country lifestyle and trucks, but drive a Nissan Leaf”

Best Day of My Life:  “The 3rd day of my honeymoon, where my wife and I drove to the Willamette Calley in Oregon.  We had a private wine tasting at Soter Vineyards, spend the rest of the day at the Allison Inn’s spa facilities, and then had a fantastic dinner on their property.  Best. Day.  Ever.”

Best Thing about Eats & Beats– “Contributing to 2 great causes and dancing to Yacht Rock!”

What We’ll be Serving at Eats & Beats:  “Rock & Roll / Americana . . .  and a horn section!”

Favorite Culinary Memory – “Most of my childhood in Brazil was spent at my family’s farm. I watched the older generations of my family curing meat, making cheese and cooking simple seasonal dishes. After I moved to the States, I would cook dinner for myself after work and then I had an epiphany….I really enjoyed cooking! I enrolled at the Lincoln Culinary Institute the very next day.

Fun Fact:  “I’m Brazilian so my favorite cooking ingredient is beef…of course

On My Bucket List – “Live in a RV and travel across America stopping and checking out small towns and regional BBQ, adopt a child that needs a good home, and go deep sea sport fishing for large Sail Fish (catch and release of course!)”

Favorite Culinary Memory – “Going to Woodford Reserve to blend “Spirit of the Giving Kitchen” was an amazing experience & it turned out to be my last road trip with Ryan Hidinger. We helped people, blended whacky, & ate at White Castle at 4am……almost a perfect day.”

On My Bucket List – “Golf in Scotland & Ireland, a Football National Championship for Georgia Tech, and Cook for Bruce Springsteen.”

Founder Michele Stumpe receives Georgia Restaurant Association’s prestigious Chairman’s Award

Michele has been honored with the Georgia Restaurant Association’s 7th annual Chairman’s Award at the Crystal of Excellence (GRACE) Awards. This award is presented to a single individual in the restaurant industry who has provided extraordinary service as a whole. She was recognized for her accomplishments at the GRACE Award ceremony on Nov. 10, 2013 at the Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta, Georgia.
